Just a few minutes drive from the villa is the Sierra de la Pila National Park - a huge expanse of protected landscape with hidden mountain villages, a BBQ area, and some of the most magnificent views over the area from its highest point. 


Towns and cities nearby include: Pinoso (a ten minute drive away) - a town set in the beautiful surroundings of the green pine groves of the Sierra del Coto, famous for its marble, salt and wine production and with all amenities including  supermarkets, banks, a post office, a theatre and bars and restaurants. Jumilla (25 min drive), a famous wine producing region that is steeped in history and has plenty of shops, bars and restaurants and Murcia, a lively, bustling city full of Spanish history and easy to get to (a 40 minute drive), made up of a labyrinth of narrow streets with small shopping centres and traditional shops, modern stores, markets, great restaurants, tapas bars, theatres, museums and churches.
